The summer of 2015 was a great one! It was a year of seeing many familiar faces and creating updated beach portraits for past clients.
My Hilton Head beach portrait clients generally invest in large wall portraits for their home, so it is understandable that they would not update their family portrait on Hilton Head each year. Generally I do not see the same families each season, even though I would love to :) Some clients return every 4 years, others it may be 10 years in between. I met the Barton family at our first beach portrait session back in 2007 (see images from that session below) they returned this year to update their wall portraits. The girls, Kylee and Carrie have grown into beautiful young women and their overall appearances have surely changed over the past 10 years....so it was time to create a new up-to-date portrait of the family. What better time to do so when they were together on a family vacation this July on Hilton Head.
This session was one of the few beach portraits I did this summer at sunrise...yes...sunrise! It was a fabulous morning on the beach and we created fantastic image for the family and also holiday cards (see below).
A few of the family portraits selected below; the main family beach portrait image was finished and framed as a 16x20 wall portrait and is now displayed in the Barton Family home above their mantle. Wouldn't you love to display a portrait from Hilton head of your family as a 16x20 or larger? Or imagine a 30x40 on the wall of your home...not just a small 8x10. But wait! "We have have two sessions with Kellie and both have been great. We had a family photo done in 2007 and when we were looking to have another done this year it was a simple choice, just call Kellie!
Kellie met us very early in the morning just to get the right lighting at the beach. While all of the kids weren't happy it paid off in the photos. She also allowed us to have fun and use our ideas to create images that reflect our families personality.
I was surprised at how easy our view and order consultation was and how much she could do on her end to give us as close to the final product as possible. She even said if we wanted, we could take a photo of the wall space in the room we intend to hang the photo and she could then upload the photo of our home and insert the portrait."
